It’s a new year and I want to replace a few little things in the house. I want to take advantage of the sales in the malls during this time and so I am listing them down.
I am trying to recall when I got our pillows. I am sure though that they are due for replacement anytime soon. Our latex mattress is fairly new and I’m glad I won’t need to get a new one. I am getting a new set of plates, a dish rack and a juicer. And since new items will be coming in, I will surely be disposing the oldies.
In a few days we will be welcoming the New Year. Time indeed flies so fast. As for me, I am trying to do a bit of work despite being under the weather. Really what a good way to spend the holidays. Reading about debt relief solutions is on top of my list. Hopefully I can browse a little and check on the problems my other two sites are having. I hope the problems get fixed very soon. I don’t want to start the New Year with my sites down.

Our credit card company should give us a Visa reward card for all the spending and shopping we did the past months. Of course, these spending and shopping are relative. My definition of expensive may not be the same as yours. Anyway, we did spend a little more than usual and so come New Year we are tightening, as in tight you can’t hardly breath haha!, our belts and start saving and hopefully investing seriously. So I guess I should limit my trips to the mall as those “small” purchases aren’t really small after all when added together.
Our two weeks before Christmas will be quite busy. Next week is exams week for DS. We have a couple of work on the side too, which I am excited about. Good thing I am almost done shopping for DS’s gifts. However I still have a couple of items that I need to accomplish this weekend.
- Get gifts for DS’s classmates. I might just get each a pencil.
- Look for free printable tag on the net for the pencil tag.
- Get gifts for DS’ teachers. I might get the organizer pouches from Beabi.
- Purchase a new juicer, hopefully bigger and much easier to clean than our old one. Plus old one has stains already, I don’t want to use it anymore.
- Accompany DH to look for thrust bearings.
- Declutter my closet. Wishing DH will give me budget to replace the clothes that I am going to dispose.
- Declutter DS’ closet.
- Declutter my work area.
- Shop for gift donations.
- Declutter DS’ things to make way for his new stuff.
