I am inspired to have my closet organized like this. I really should keep my clothes and things to a minimum if I want to have my things always neat and organized. I do that actually. Lately though as I am busy with a lot of things, school opening, helping DS with his assignments and exams {DH helps out a lot too in this department}, looking into trustedquote.com and just everyday chores, that I haven’t been able to look into my things. But I will soon. I am also itching to let go of some of DS’ books, the bigger ones, as well. Right now, he is into smaller, pocketbook-like books. His latest favorite is Geronimo Stilton books.

So how do you achieve a simple yet luxurious closet. According to TheSimplyLuxuriousLife.com, here’s what you need:

*a corkboard/push pin board framed as to display magazine photos or images of outfit ideas that caught your eye

*a full length mirror

*flattering light

*quality hangers (wood, padded, with clips for skirts, etc, but no wires)

*shoe hangers or shelves as to provide an immediate visual

*a steamer (after working at a retail store, I realize how priceless one would be)

*creative, unique dishes for watches, glasses and every day accessories.

*a plush armless chair or bench to sit on while putting on shoes or tights

*a unique dresser for lingerie, workout clothing – anything that doesn’t need to be on display, but must be taken care of

*concealed laundry baskets (one for darks and lights)

*a beautiful bag or basket for clothes that need to go to the dry cleaner

*a jewelry organizer (easy to see, but keeps everything separate and organized

*a small table or shelf for perfume, sunglasses, any other accessory without adding too much clutter

*shelves for luggage, clutches, handbags, etc

*a special hanger for belts

*hooks the outfit for the next day/evening/etc

*beautiful, plush flooring (whether a rug or carpet)

We have a walk-in-close of sorts. It is a small room connecting our bedroom to the bathroom. It is basically bare, just a closet and a mirror. Oh, the laundry hamper occupies a corner there as well. I am thinking of putting in there a full-length mirror similar to the one above. And maybe I can change the curtains to something with print to make the room more fun and inviting. Ideas keep on coming whenever I browse my fave home design blogs. Better add mirror and new printed curtains to my shopping list. I’ll be hitting the mall soon to look for hair loss shampoo, and maybe a cheap little bag and a pair of shoes. Some little retail therapy.

I am not sure if I like this or not. But I do want something like this. I want to minimize the clutter as much as possible so I want a similar corner for me. This works well in the dining room or living room. You can close the door and hide all your stuff once you are done with your work. The style will work best on my dream house too that’s why I am keeping this.
