I am loving these pretty wallpapers. My online time will not be complete without having a glimpse at my favorite home design blogs. I enjoy going through the photos of pretty homes and I love collecting these ideas for our future home. For now though, I have to browse for city of philadelphia jobs. I am helping out a cousin who is set to fly to the US soon to join his family.

Oh my. This photo made me crave for cakes. I am more into cakes and pastries rather than chocolates. Lately though, I am trying to lessen my intake of sweets. There are times, of course, that I give in to my craving but I try to control it. I can’t eat too much or else I will be needing the best weight loss products to lose all those pounds.

*sigh*
I love looking at this house. And its porch. And the overgrown plants in front.

I am loving these rain gutter bookshelves. My son loves books so these are perfect additions to his playroom. He can easily see the books at once. There will be less mess since he never has to search through all the books. I am seeing tons of playroom ideas from the internet. How I wish I have enough budget to copy them. However, playroom is not my priority right now as I am saving for a bedroom makeover, getting some heated mattress pads included.

I have been wanting to do this for the longest time and I have been telling DH about it. He just laughed at the idea and I think he even thought that it’s kinda weird. Well, this doesn’t look a bit weird to me. In fact I love it. I can’t wait to do this in the house.

I came across O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath law firm while helping out a family friend search for a San Antonio Injury Attorney. If you got involved in a motor vehicle accident or workplace accident and wanted to know more about your rights and legal options, the law firm offers free consultation. They are backed by years of legal experience and they have the capacity to help you get the maximum financial recovery. They also handle semi truck accidents, rear end and head on collisions, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, drunk driving accidents and the likes. In addition, they also handle personal injury cases and they never collect fees until the case is settled. So do get in touch with them if you want to know more about your rights.

It is still about the closet. Can you tell I am in cleanup mode?
I have been cleaning the playroom again, that’s why. Organization and decluttering is indeed a never-ending process. There are just too much stuff to deal with, and to think we only have a small house and not too much things. Anyway, for the steps:
1. Begin by thinking on paper, which will help speed up and simplify the process: what do you love? When tossing items, refer to your list.
2. When debating about an item, ask yourself: which is more valuable? The item or the cleared space?
3. No one lets go of something without reaching for something else. Think of the overarching theme, of what sort of feeling in your life you want next (i.e. serenity, creativity) so you can create the space for it.
4. Ask yourself these questions: Do I love it? Is it flattering? Is it the image I want to project? If it’s a “yes” to all three, then it’s a keeper.
5. To determine if something is a personal treasure, ask yourself: is this the best reminder of that particular time in my life or person I knew? If not, then toss it.
6. Invest in matching wooden or padded hangers and quality containers.
7. When you’re 3/4 of the way through clearing your closet, you may begin to get overwhelmed by the space (What am I going to do without my stuff?) Remind yourself that you are who you are, not what you own. Get through the panic, and you’ll experience calm and relief.
8. Keep in mind a Zen parable that tells of a traveler on a road who came up on a river with a washed out bridge. So he built himself a raft which carried him safely to the other side. “This is a good raft” he thought, “If I come to another river, I can use it.” So he carried it on his back with him for the rest of his life. How long do we hold onto something that’s no longer useful?
9. Practice SHED. Separate the treasures, Heave the trash, Embrace your identity and connect to who you are without your stuff, and Drive forward.
10. Decide who will get the cast-offs, i.e., a favorite charity or homeless shelter.

I am drooling over these very organized and really nice closet space. You too can have a similar closet space by following the following tips from Apartment Therapy.
* Declutter.
* Store your most-used items in plain sight, less-used items below, and least-used items up high.
* Combine storage units to fit your different needs: drawers for folded items, hangers for dresses and suits, boxes for odds and ends.
* Use coordinated hangers for a clean look that will care for your clothes and help you stay organized.
* Use an umbrella stand to hold odd items like a yoga mats.
* Use boxes, cubbies, shelves, or a hanging organizer to sort shoes.
* Keep folded clothes or accessories neat with shelf dividers.
* Use vertical space (both above and below the closet rod) to store more.
* Add lights in your closet between the door and the storage area.
* If you live in a small space, replace traditional closet doors that swing out with curtains or hanging screens.
* Use stackable laundry baskets that you can easily carry to the washing machine.
* Hooks can create extra storage space when you hang them inside the closet.
* Keep your closet in shape by treating it like a small room. Pay attention to lighting, wall color, and floor coverings.
* Make more room in your closet by storing out-of-season clothes in boxes up high or under the bed.
* Color coding your wardrobe can make finding things easier.
* Invest in your closet by using good-looking storage solutions.
* A rolling cart with coordinated boxes can be pulled in or out of the closet and used for clothing or office supply storage.
* Use suitcases to store out-of-season linens, blankets, or sweaters.
* Repurpose standard storage pieces.

I only have one kid but I know for a fact how expensive it is to put a kid to school. But getting him to a good school is one of our top priorities, that’s why we need to scrimp on other things to be able to do that. It is still a long way to go so as early as now I am looking for ways to save and invest our money for the future.
I find USGoldBureau.com very helpful when it comes to precious metals investments, gold coins and bullions in particular. Why gold? They said that gold is more stable than any paper currency plus it gets more valuable over time. It has indeed a great investment potential. Give USGoldBureau.com a visit if you are interested to buy gold bullion or you want to learn more about this type of investment.
